Album Review

Saving Grace is a benefit album for FAST -- Families and Schools Together, an organization that helps elementry school students at risk. The music on the album is either mainstream country or soft-rock; all of the songs are either gospel or have a strong inspirational undercurrent. A few songs fall flat (Shania Twain doesn't have the presence yet to pull off "God Bless the Child") but there are enough good moments -- including Rod Stewart's "Amazing Grace," Joan Baez's "Forever Young" and Bill Withers' "Lean on Me" -- to make it a solid charity album.
