Fuel 2000's
Run Pony Run: An Essential Collection spans 15 tracks and is a fairly even-handed overview of
the Golden Palominos' '80s recordings. It's not sequenced in chronological order, only contains a couple of early selections, but does have a good sampling of the 1985 album
Visions of Excess (containing over half of its eight tracks), four tracks from 1986's
Blast of Silence, and over half of 1989's
A Dead Horse. Though the two-part
A History provides a more thorough overview of their recordings, this is easier to find and a more succinct introduction for the curious.
