accomplished a great deal during her short life. She attended the Paris Conservatoire for composition and won the Prix de Rome for her cantata Faust et Hélène (1913). In spite of her ill health during her time in Rome, she interrupted her musical work there to care for the families of musicians who were away at war. She died at the end of the war, leaving a major operetic project based on Maeterlinck's La princesse Maleine unfinished. Although her life was short, she created a large body of work. Her compositions exhibit masterful handling of the solo voice, as well as large groups. One of her best works is Vielle prière bouddhique (1917), a choral piece with erotic overtones. Her compositional style with contrapuntal textures and chromaticism is solidly within the French manner of her time.
