The seventh in the Classics label's chronological reissuance of all the early recordings led by Gene Krupa mostly documents his big band sides of June to Sept. 1940. Unfortunately 12 of the 21 numbers have dominant vocals by the rather routine singer Howard Dulany, greatly lowering the value of this CD.
