Organomically Correct revisits selections from three of Charles Earland's late-'70s Muse recordings. While most fans of "The Mighty Burner" treasure his Prestige dates released earlier in the decade, his sessions for Muse contained as much gritty funk without the fusion-ish over-production Earland toyed with that marred recordings like Intensity. The musicians on these tracks are spectacular, including tenor saxophonists George Freeman, Frank Wess, or Houston Person; guitarist Jimmy Ponder or Melvin Sparks; and Grady Tate or Walter Perkins on drums.
