In 1969, Mark Lindsay, lead singer, songwriter, and producer of Paul Revere & The Raiders, launched a solo career (while continuing his duties with the group) as a singer of middle-of-the-road pop. The market-savvy Lindsay, recognizing his band's declining fortunes, had also identified a new direction for himself.
