Blind Dog is a fine summation of bluegrass guitarist's Norman Blake's career and aesthetics, a largely- instrumental collection of favorites from his own catalog as well as from his influences'. The covers include songs by A.p. Carter and Woody Guthrie, while Blake dips into his own back pages to re-do fan-favorite "Billy Gray."
