Joey Stec was a member of The Millennium, a late-'60s sunshine pop group responsible for one of the great unheard albums of the era, Begin. He also sang and played on the first Sagittarius record, Present Tense. In 1975 he released a solo album on Playboy Records. Produced by Stones producer Jimmy Miller, his album is a nice mix of soft balladry and low-key rocking. It was reissued in 2000 by Poptones. Stec has been working closely with Poptones archivist Joe Foster to release rarities from The Millennium and its various members. ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
